I just joined. Thought I'd introduce myself by contributing my favorite garlic recipe.
Garlic Broth
This broth is a great base for soups or by itself as a cold remedy.
2 heads garlic. Cloves smashed and peeled
2 tablespoons + olive oil
9 cups water
Salt and Pepper
Place oil and garlic in soup pot over low heat. Slowly sautee garlic being careful not to brown it, stirring frequently until garlic is soft and edges are becoming transluscent, about 20 minutes. Add water and simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Get creative and Enjoy!

Wed, November 16, 2005 - 5:35 AMWow, that sounds like a garlic dish my Mom makes but we add this sour like cabbage and spare ribs. You cook it for awhile so that the meat slides off the bones. Hmmmm, I better call my Mom for the recipe. Thanks! :) -

for really fast garlic broth, when you need a fix, just shave/slice thin a big fat clove or two into a bowl of water, and microwave a minute or two!
